Inspection and Lifting Training

Inspection :

St-Pierre Chains & Slings Ltd offers to company’s, inspection services of chains, steel cables and synthetic slings, hoists, lifting beams and other lifting products to ensure the compliance of their different rigging products to the official regulation:

for chains slings, the inspection is done for the ring master, the rings-fittings, the links, hooks and latches; it identifies, among other things, wear, deformation, corrosion, the total dimension and the absence of ground connection; the inspection will also verify the presence of a tag and the information on it;

for steel cables slings, the inspection is to verify the general status of the cable, breakage in the core, the deformation of the strands and the status of the thimbles, rings and hooks; it also allows to check all the information required to appear on the tag;

for synthetic slings (nylon or polyester), inspection identifies the cuts, holes, burns and traces of exposure to UV rays, the wear of the eye, the breakage or deformation of the seams; the inspection also allows to verify if all the information’s required by the regulation appear on the label;

Training :

St-Pierre Chains & Slings Ltd offers training on best practices in lifting. The objectives of the training are designed to enable participants to develop all the skills necessary to the prevention of accidents associated with the use of lifting and rigging equipment.

Training is also designed to initiate students to methods of work and precautions to be taken during rigging equipment set-up, to know the different types of slings, to identify the risks and dangers related to lifting and, finally, to perform the inspection of slings.

Training also helps participants to learn the best security practices as well as to rigorously inspect their equipment according to the official regulation.
