For more than 50 years, St-Pierre Chains & Slings Ltd has set mission to assist quickly and efficiently all its customers and prospects by providing lifting and binding solutions in accordance with official safety measures and standards.

The company specializes in manufacturing chains and steel cable slings, nylon and polyester slings, lifting beams, jib cranes and chains for tires. We also distribute many types of chains, steel cables, synthetic cables, hooks, shackles, turnbuckles and other accessories.

St-Pierre Chains & Slings Ltd is also an authorize distributor of several national brands such as Crosby, Campbell, Columbus McKinnon, Gunnebo and few others.

History

The company was founded in 1951 to make assembly of tire chains;

In 1974, production of chains slings began;

In 1977, the company bought Montreal Slings Center, which was manufacturing steel cable slings. The same year, it added nylon slings to its product range;

On June 1st 1983, Mr Jean-Yves Collin, our present General Manager, acquired St-Pierre Chains & Slings Ltd;

In 1998, the company decided to relocate at 7690 Jarry Street East in Montreal , our present location ,in a 18,000 square foot building;

Between 2000 and 2010, St-Pierre Chains & Slings Ltd modernized its equipments and increased the total space of its factory, warehouse and offices to 36,000 square feet;

In 2009, St-Pierre Chains & Slings Ltd obtained its certification to the new standard ISO 9001-2008;

St-Pierre Chains & Slings Ltd provides, on-site or in factory, very high quality inspection and repair services of lifting, binding and rigging equipments.

Testing and Re-certification :
With our 200,000-pounds–70 foot horizontal test stand and our 100,000-pounds and 20,000-pounds vertical test benches, we can perform all your testing, load test and re-certification according to the official industry regulation;
